Big Moves and Big Plans

Watch for Pics and Updates as we improve the training and breeding facilites, and the EKC pack in 2022!

ECK Farm

Eska Creek Kennels made the Big Move in 2021″.

Like many during this crazy time,  we looked at where we were and realized that our priorities have changed.

We decided that it was time to make a change in lifestyle, and in order follow a passion that had placed on the back burner for many years, a change in location was necessary. “

In the past 14 months, we…

  • Bought a house in KS
  • Got rid of almost everything
  • Sold a House in AK
  • Retired
  • Moved 3500 miles in 7 days
    • With 2 dogs,
    • in a Travel Trailer
  • Transited Covid Canada in 4 days(a whole other story!)
    • Yukon, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan
  • Dealt with 100 degrees in Kansas Summer
  • Bought the “Farm” house on 22 acres
  • Started Clean up and remodel

Best Laid Plans & Mother Nature

Spring Puppies move to Fall...

“The best laid plans of mice and men often go awryRobert Burns

Due to the Horrible storms in the Mid-West in Mid-December the plan did not come together.

We are fine,  and the dogs are great, but the shipping companies were a mess on the days critical to our plan.

Lessons Learned:

  • Ask for Help– talk to trusted friends and mentors
  • Have a back up plan– Collect/Ship twice, yes,  even 2 days in a row
  • Take a deep breath– try again

Our thoughts and prayers go out to those whose entire lives were decimated by the storms. God Bless you and keep you.
